Planned Giving

You are making a gift for the future of the Sarasota Parrot Conservatory

Planned gifts, including gifts from your estate or will, are gifts that anyone can make that may benefit you, your family, and the future of the Sarasota Parrot Conservatory

Planned giving gives significant benefits to the Sarasota Parrot Conservatory. These gifts ensure that our parrot and animal residents will have a forever home and that our healing programs continue on.

Charitable planning giving can be an important part of your estate planning. Planned giving demonstrates your commitment and belief that our sanctuary provides a wonderful forever home for rescued parrots and our mission to heal those who have experienced trauma. Your ability to give and multiply the impact your contribution can have on both animals and humans is extraordinary and appealing to many.

Bequests - Gifts from your Estate or Will

You may make a gift to the Sarasota Parrot Conservatory designating us as a beneficiary in your will. A bequest can be designated for a specific percentage or amount of the total estate. Bequests of any amount will help to ensure that our Parrots and rescued residents are always cared for.

Gifts of Life Insurance, Retirement Plan, or IRA"

Gifts of new life insurance policies to the Sarasota Parrot Conservatory enable donors to build a substantial future endowment through reasonable, tax-deductible premium payments. Donation of an existing policy may also offer tax benefits.

A gift of retirement plan assets can be a surprisingly easy way to reduce potentially very high taxes for your family and provide support to the Sarasota Parrot Conservatory. Retirement plan assets that go directly to charitable organizations are not taxable for income tax purposes or taxable for estate tax purposes.

Gift of Real Estate

With a gift of real estate to the Sarasota Parrot Conservatory you will receive an income tax deduction equal to the appraised fair market value of the property. Donating your property may also reduce your estate costs and taxes.
